KEC Schools Open Despite Weather. Indian Way Closed. Step By Step Reopens After COVID Outbreak

There is a new positive case of COVID-19 attributed to the outbreak at Step By Step Child and Family Centre bringing the total to 12. According to Executive Director Natalie Beauvais, it is attached to one of the original two classes involved in the outbreak. Meanwhile the Centre is reopening today (Monday) after being closed all of last week. Approximately 80% of the students are eligible to return. However, Beauvais told K1037 News that several parents plan on keeping their children at home until after the holidays.

Indian Way School is closed for a snow day. Meanwhile all KEC Schools and Karihwanoron Mohawk Immersion are open.

There are no significant school closures in the surrounding areas either as of 7:10 am.
