The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Kahnawake has dropped to five. There have been no new cases in the community in the last three days according to the Public Health team at the Kateri Memorial Hospital Center (KMHC). That means nine cases have recovered since there were 14 cases last Friday, August 6.
Additional road work will affect the commute for the start of next week. Inspection work on the electrical and lighting systems will require the closure of the 138 east service road towards the 132 east on Monday, August 9. A complete closure of the Route 138 down ramp towards Chateauguay is scheduled for this weekend. Weather permitting, the closure will take place from Friday at 10 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m. A detour to use the Route 132 down ramp will be in place.
