KRL Regulations Feedback Requested

Two (2) regulations drafted under the Kahnawà:ke Residency Law (KRL) and (2) regulations drafted under the Kanien’kehá:ka of Kahnawà:ke Law will be reviewed for community feedback via online Zoom sessions taking place on: Tuesday, February 8th, from 6:30 pm until to 8:00 pm and again on Thursday, February 10th, from 10:30 am until 12 noon. The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) are offering an additional feedback period for those who are unable to attend the online sessions. that can be mailed to the MCK at: P.O. Box 720, Kahnawà:ke, J0L1B0, c/o Melanie Konwenni Gilbert, General Manager, Office of the Kahnawà:ke Kanien’kehá:ka Registry; by telephone at (450) 638-0500; or emailed to [email protected] from February 11th through February 24th at 4pm. The Regulations will be made available at that time.
If you are interested in being part of either of the virtual sessions, you can call the Office of the Kahnawà:ke Kanien’kehá:ka Registry at 450-638-0500 to verify that you are on the Kahnawà:ke Kanien’kehá:ka Registry and to receive Zoom login information. All Comments received will be compiled and posted for community input for 30 days, from February 28th, until March 30th, at 4pm. After the 30-day review period of the feedback, all recommendations received will be compiled for review and acceptance by Chief and Council.
