KSS Hold And Secure Situation: Over
Written by Paul Graif on 2 February 2022
At Kahnàwake Survival School, there was a lockdown in affect at 9:37 this morning. The KSS successfully activated a “Hold and Secure” protocol following the external threat. An individual made verbal threats that activated the protocol in place to safeguard the safety of students, staff and the building. The Kahnàwake Peacekeepers were immediately informed and the school ensured no one could enter or exit the building until the threat was isolated and contained. Students and staff were permitted to conduct their normal functions within the building. The individual left the school grounds. As a precaution, KSS administration kept the “hold and secure” in place until 2:00pm.
