Written by Jeremy Zafran on 19 October 2023
The 138 east ramp, from the Mercier bridge to Autoroute 20 East towards Montreal, will be closed all weekend, starting from 11:59 tonight until Monday at 5 am. That ramp will then only partially reopen for all of next week and then be limited to one lane only, all week. Meanwhile, starting at 10:30 tonight until Saturday at 5am the 138/132 east service road towards St Constant will be completely closed for survey work. Motorists will be detoured over the Montreal-bound Mercier for the clement exit, in order to return over the bridge heading for the 132 exit and Kahnawa:ke. This work is in preparation for a major upcoming project to resurface the 138/132 east Service Road that will impact local and non-local traffic on Friday, November 3rd at 10:30pm until Monday, November 6th at 5:30am.
The MCK saying that the resurfacing was scheduled to be carried out in Spring 2024, but based on work progression of work, a decision between the transport ministry (MTQ) and the MCK was made to have this phase of the project completed before the end of the current construction season.
