Vaccine Appointments Will Likely Open on Wednesday for All of Kahnawake

Written by on 8 March 2021

There has not been a new case of COVID-19 in Kahnawake in at least three weeks. The last active case was taken off the books one week ago.

The vaccine rolled out successfully over the first three days last week at the temporary site at the Bingo Hall on Highway 138. 252 doses were administered to community members 80 years of age and over. Those 70 and over and immuno-suppressed are also able to book their vaccine appointments at: www.kahnawake911/vaccine, or by calling 450-638-3930 Ext. 2295 or 2206.

“Today we’re receiving just under 3000 doses of Moderna and our vaccinations open tomorrow (Tuesday) to Saturday,” Kateri Memorial Hospital Center Executive Director Lisa Westaway said on the K1037 Morning D. “We will be opening up to the community to book very shortly. Starting on Wednesday you will be able to call, no matter who you are, to book your appointment for your vaccine.”
