Caisse Pop Closed as a Precaution

The Caisse Populaire in Kahnawake is closed until further notice for special cleaning.
Mandie Montour is the General Manager at the Bank, she says that as of now there are no positive cases of COVID-19. “It’s just a precautionary measure. The same thing as the last time. For now we don’t know when we are reopening. We are going to reopen as soon as we are done the precautionary cleaning here,” Montour said.
The bank was also closed for the day on May 11th for similar reasons. “Once somebody is not feeling well and has at least maybe one symptom then they become a suspect case. It’s not a positive case, it’s a suspect case. It doesn’t mean that we have COVID. As soon as we have somebody that tests positive for COVID then we will work with the public health authority. But right now it’s just a precaution,” she said.
