Signs Being Removed. Friends and Family Allowed in Kahnawake as of Monday

Emergency Management Coordinator Atiesa Foot reminding businesses that they must pass a inspection before they are permitted to reopen on Monday, June 1st. For an inspection 450-632-0635.
Foot says that Kahnawake Public works will begin to remove the orange signs on Sunday that prohibited people from entering the community. Specifically the signs on Highways 138, 132, 207 and the OCR, will be removed. Other signage that indicates that Kahnawake is for “Local Residents Only”, will be placed throughout the community on Monday.
Friends and family will be permitted to visit Kahnawake as of Monday, according to Task Force Member Arnold Lazare. The Task Force specified that they must adhere to the maximum of 8 people in one gathering, as long as social distancing is practiced and preferably in an outdoor setting.
