The Post Office in Kahnawake is closed for the day due to a power outage. This is due to scheduled work on the generator by Hydro Quebec. Employees from Tewatohni’saktha Economic Development, who share the building with the Post Office, are working from home as their offices are also closed due to the maintenence work.

Ahead of tonight’s storm, the Kahnawake Education Center (KEC) has decided to cancel all classes for students, teachers and administration for Friday. Step by Step Child and Family Center, Karihwanoron Mohawk Immersion and Avery’s Daycare will also be closed. Indian Way School has been on holiday break since last Friday.
