Kahnawake hip hop artist J.J. Rice was named Artist of the Year at the PEABO Awards over the weekend. The award recognizes entertainers, artists, athletes and entrepreneurs working to build community. Rice, who goes by the stage name Johnny Nayshun won the title at the 9th annual PEABO awards ceremony in Cambridge, Ontario on Saturday.
