Kahnawake Water Supply Resumes

Water pressure dropped or was non existant for many residents of Kahnawake for about 30 minutes Monday afternoon.
Mark Morris, an operator at the Water Filtration plant, says the generator was scheduled to go on at 3:50 pm. However, he says the battery backup system for the disribution pumps either failed or was fried in the transfer process. Workers were able to fix the problem and restore power at 4:20 pm.
