Minimax Recycling Truck Needs Work
Written by Paul Graif on 20 September 2021
Another day, another issue, as the Minimax Recycling Truck will remain out of service until further notice. Service delays can be expected to last as long as possibly another two (2) weeks. Iotshatenawi Reed is the Communications Liaison at the Kahnawà:ke Waste Management Department joined Host Davis Rice on Tetewathara today on K1037:
“It will be off the road for another possibly week or so, or maybe 2 weeks, I’m not even sure. We would just like to notify the community to keep putting your recycling in recycling bags, either the blue ones or the clear ones but not in garbage bags. Plastic bags by the curb, not in the recycle bin because we have no recycle truck and no way to empty the bins, so make sure you put all your bags by the curbs. They’re going to do an old school collection like with the truck and trailer, so we’ll collect it that way.”
Compost and Special Collection will continue without interruption. For more information, please contact the Waste Management Department at 450-632-4321.
