Tekakwitha Island Beach closed

If you’re looking for some relief from the heat, you can forget about doing that at the beach. The Tekakwitha Island Beach is closed until Friday, September 3rd .
The Sports and Recreation Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) says the beach is officially unmonitored since no lifeguards are on duty at this time. The beach will reopen on Saturday, September 4th for the long Labor Day Weekend.
Tekakwitha Island Beach will close for the season on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.
