Wait list for low cost spay and neuter clinic

The low cost spay and neuter clinics scheduled for August 25 and September 15 in Kahnawake are completely booked, but the Animal Protection Department says there is a waiting list for October.
Deidra Whyte is assistant animal protection officer. She spoke on K1037 ‘s Morning D show.
“We had roughly 20 spots for two dates and had 30 phones calls on Friday within a few hours, so they filled up pretty fast,” she says.
For now, the clinics are open only to Kahnawake residents. White says they’re hoping to eventually do 2 or 3 clinics a month to try and catch up with the backlog of animals that need the service.
