Tewa and Post Offices Closed Due to Electrical Problem and Smoke

The Canada Post Office in Kahnawake is closed for the rest of the day, Wednesday, after it was infested with smoke. The Kahnawake Peacekeepers say a hydro problem led one of the pumps to short out and begin to smoke at 10:14 this morning. There were no injuries, but because of the abundance of smoke, the Post and Tewatohnhi’saktha will only reopen on Thursday.
