Poppy Campaign Today and Again on Friday

The Poppy Campaign is underway at the Legion Branch 219 – they will be open until 6 pm, today. This is Herb Rice an associate member of the Legion:
“We’re here until 6 o’clock tonight selling poppies for the annual poppy campaign. We made it until 6 o’clock because we were advised that a lot people work until 4 and they couldn’t get here before the usual closing time of 2. So we’re here until 6 o’clock tonight, come on down buy your poppy and contribute to the Legion.”
They will be back selling poppies on Friday between the hours of 10 am and 2 pm, ahead of the upcoming Remembrance and Veterans days.
