2020 Lori Niioié:ren Jacobs Memorial Recognition Award: Call for Nominations

There’s a call for nominations or Applicants for the 2020 Lori Niioié:ren Jacobs Memorial Recognition Award. The Award is presented annually to a member of the community who exemplifies the qualities the Kanien’kehá:ka Jacobs displayed including: dedication, perseverance and volunteerism all in the name of positive contributions and betterment of Kahnawà:ke.
The award that is accompanied by a $1000 bursary was created to honour the late Lori Niioié:ren Jacobs and is awarded annually by Mohawk Online, the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission and K1037.
Nominees for the award must be listed on the Kanien’kehá:ka of Kahnawà:ke Registry to be eligible, with self-nominated applications requiring a letter of reference. Applications must be submitted by Friday, November 13, to Ietsénhaienhs Gina Deer at the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke, on behalf of the Selection Committee.
