50 Cyclists Pedaled Through Town Thursday morning

Cyclists honoring a fallen police officer passed through the territory today. The group of cyclists cycling at approximately 9:30am taking part in a memorial ride for Lac Simon Constable Thierry LeRoux who was killed in the line of duty on February 13th, 2016. Approximately 50 cyclists were in town for the Thierry LeRoux Memorial Ride, as they made their way to a ceremony for fallen police officers in Beauharnois. Members of the Kahnawake Peacekeepers escorted the group of riders, whose members including police from Lac Simon and Wendake who were participating in the event.
The cyclists entered the Territory via R-132, to the Old Malone Highway and then headed west via the Old Chateauguay Road.
