5 Non-Local Minors Arrested in Town

5 non-local minors from St Hubert were arrested after a chase and over 2 hours of searching last night in Kahnawake. The chase began at 10:43 pm when an alert off-duty Peacekeeper noticed the boy’s suspicious behaviour in a vehicle on Veterans Boulevard. When he approached their car, they fled and continued by fleeing from responding patrol vehicles. They finally abandoned their car near the Elders Lodge and following a search, 4 of them were arrested in a nearby marsh. A 5th suspect was later found walking on the road and he too was arrested. According to the Peacekeepers, all five are being charged with trespassing at night, dangerous driving, flight from police and obstruction. Two of the boys were on probation and continue to be held. The other 3 were released on a promise to appear with conditions.
