The Kahnawà:ke Peacekeepers are investigating a fatal shooting involving a non-local that occurred on the afternoon of January 20, 2026.
The shooting happened just after 2:30PM, behind Robbie’s Smokehouse on Route 138. The victim has been identified in reports as 41-year-old Kyle Grabowski, a man known to police and who is said to have ties to Montreal’s West End Gang.
Grabowski has an extensive criminal history, including a violent 2012 bar fight that earned him a 10-year prison sentence. The Journal de Montreal reports that more recently, he was also said to be involved in extorsion and debt collecting.
Additionally, Grabowski is believed to have connections to Charalambos Theologou, also known as Bobby the Greek. According to Radio Canada, Theologou was the head of the Chomedey Greeks Gang- that is, until he was gunned down in a Laval parking lot last October.
According to TVA Nouvelles, a vehicle believed to be used in yesterday’s attack was later found burned out on a dead-end road in Châteauguay. A firearm believed to be used in the shooting was also reportedly found.
The Peacekeepers’ investigation is ongoing, with assistance from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ)’s major crimes unit.
