Fatal Shooting in Kahnawake

The Kahnawà:ke Peacekeepers (PKs) are investigating a fatal shooting involving a non-local that occurred on the afternoon of January 20, 2026.
In a release, the PKs say the shooting happened at around 2:32PM, behind Robbie’s Smokehouse on Route 138. The victim is a 41-year-old, non-local male. The Peacekeepers have enlisted the help of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) for the investigation, and they say that there is no present danger to the community.
