Every Child Matters march: Monday

Details about an important event happening on Monday, September 30^th, in Montreal: the “Every Child Matters” march has been released. Tashiina Buswa, the communications coordinator for the Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal, saying that the event is organized in collaboration with the David Suzuki Foundation and the Native Women’s Shelter/Resilience Montreal, will honor the lives of children who never returned home from residential schools.

The march falls on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The full list of speakers and performers expected, includes: Kevin Deer; Jeremy Dutcher; Sacred Wolf Drummers; Alex McComber; Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer; Ellen Gabriel; Barbara Diabo; Maya Cousineau-Mollen; and Beatrice Deer.
