The Public Works Department continuing road marking and painting in Kahnawake. The plan now is for R-207, R-132, and R-138. The first phase of road marking is almost complete as crews refresh stop lines and crosswalks. A center line will also be painted in the Canadian Pacific Kansas City Tunnel. Kahnawa’kehró:non are being asked to exercise patience and show courtesy once the new line is painted. This change is required to help alleviate the traffic congestion at the tunnel. Due to the size of the tunnel, some larger vehicles will require more room to pass and motorists are advised to yield to these vehicles when entering the tunnel.

Additionally, crews with the Public Works Department will begin installing speed bumps and traffic bollards starting next week.
