Road Closures for Old Malone

There is a planned upcoming road closure on the Old Malone highway scheduled for Monday, April 29^th, that is expected to last until Thursday, May 2^nd, weather dependent. The Capital Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke Capital Construction will be replacing existing water and sewer lines in the east section of the highway up to the tunnel. Proper road signalization will be installed to warn of the construction limits and detours. The roads affected will be closed to all traffic. Access to homes and businesses in the area will be made available. Flag men will be in the area to direct traffic.

Meanwhile, an upcoming project to remove excavation soils that are located at the snow dump area on highway 132 across from Magic Palace is being undertaken by the capital unit. The removal is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 29^th, and will last approximately 10 days.
