Elevated Bacteria Levels In Tioweró:ton

If your weekend plans include a trip to Tioweró:ton, the Falls area and the top and bottom of the First Bridge are closed for swimming due to elevated bacteria levels. Recent water sampling by technicians from Environmental Health Services (EHS) of Kahnawake Shakotiia’takehnhas Community Services has revealed an unacceptable increase in bacteria and recommends staying out of the water until levels return to what is considered adequate for swimming and recreation.
EHS will test the waters again next week.
