Muriel White-Rice was appointed as the Assistant Electoral Officer. They will set the agenda for Nomination Day, Meet the Candidates Night, and the By-Election Date. It appears that the election will be at the beginning of November.
This is the 7th election that Montour is working in Kahnawake as the electoral officer.
“Yes, although it’s quite strange having to do it within five-and-a-half weeks,” Montour told KK1037 News. “Very stressful to have to get everything prepared so much ahead of time.”
