Mohawk Online: $5 Million For Cultural Center Campaign

Mohawk Online Limited announced that it is making a donation of $5 million to the Kahnawà:ke Cultural Arts Center Capital Campaign, which is working to raise $16 million toward the building’s estimated cost of $37 million. Dean Montour is the CEO of Mohawk Online:
“In terms of the overall cost of the project, we were hoping to put a big dent in the fundraising part of the capital campaign. We’re proud and honoured to support this project and to kick-off the capital campaign as the lead donor I think is important for the whole project.”
The new state of the art cultural center building will be the permanent home of The KORLCC, the Language and Cultural Center Museum, Turtle Island Theatre and a Tourism Visitors Center.
