‘Inside Out Project’ Art Installation

There will be the first installation of Inside Out Project: Indigenous Forced Displacement on February 20th and 21st. Montreal will host the art project, founded by internationally renowned French photographer and street artist JR, with Montreal’s Indigenous community group action entitled: Indigenous Forced Displacement.

Indigenous communities in the Montreal area are diverse, with specific experiences related to the effects of colonization, all have been impacted by historical and contemporary forced displacement. With the Inside Out project, 50 members of the Indigenous community, each with their own unique experiences and relationship to the concept of forced displacement, will be celebrated.

Four buildings have graciously granted  permission to use their locations: on Sunday, February 20th at 10 am there will be postering at Bâtiment 7 located at 1900 Rue le Ber in Pointe-Saint-Charles; On Monday, February 21st at 11am at 5795 avenue de Gaspé, Little Italy; At 12pm at 633 Beaumont, Park Extension; and then at 1pm, there will be postering at 7010 ave Henri Julien, in the city’s east end.
