Written by Paul Graif on 19 January 2022
Road conditions in and around Kahnàwake were challenging today and remain so as light freezing drizzle embraced the region and temperatures were on a steady climb. Kenny Phillips Heavy Equipment Town Garage Manager at Public works spoke on the current conditions in town:
“All roads are open, they’re plowing, the guys are out right now, cleaning up, the salting’s going good.”
Phillips on the plans for tomorrow’s operations:
“Tomorrow morning at 7 o’clock we’re going to be doing the Old Malone Highway, all the side-walked streets, all the way up to OCR, Chilly Willy’s Road, Rabaska Road, Council Road, so we’re going to have roads blocked and access roads will be blocked off for a little while.”
