Snow Day Cancels First Day Back of In-Person School

The Kahnawake Education Center (KEC) announced on Sunday evening that classes will be cancelled for Monday because of a looming winter storm. Up to 25 cms of snow and blowing snow is expected to begin at around 4 am on Monday. Classes are expected to resume on Tuesday.
Step By Step Child and Family Center is closed
Karihwanoron Mohawk Immersion and Avery’s is also closed.
The Kahnawake Youth Center will also be closed. The building will reopen Tuesday at 6 am.
The Lester B. Pearson school board (LBPSB) as well as the English Montreal school board (EMSB) have cancelled all of their classes as well. All New Frontiers schools and adult centres are closed.

- Trafalgar School for Girls
- Villa Maria High School
- Lower Canada College
- Miss Edgar’s and Miss Cramp’s School
- Selwyn House School
- Centennial Academy
