Youth in Kahnawake Hit Most Frequently by COVID-19

There are 18 active cases of COVID-19 in Kahnawake. Four of those were newly diagnosed on Tuesday according to the Public Health team. 120 Kahnawakero:non have contracted the virus in the current fourth wave, of those a large percentage are under the age of 40. 88 percent of the cases in the last couple of months have affected the younger population, most significantly children under 10 who are not approved for vaccination. That group accounts for nearly 38% of the cases.
