The 36th Annual Mohawk Miles: This Weekend

The 36th Annual Mohawk Miles will take place this Saturday afternoon into the evening in the area along River Road between the St. Francis Xavier Church and the Turtle Bay Elders Lodge. The Public Safety Division of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke saying that his year’s race will run from 3:30pm until approximately 9pm. As roads will not be closed for the event, community members are asked to exercise extreme caution when driving in these areas. The Peacekeepers will be assisting and the route will be clearly marked. All participants will start at the Youth Center, turn to the Recreation Path behind the Church and then continue towards the Hospital Ballfield. The longer races will use the Recreation Path in the direction of the Elders Lodge with all races returning to the finish line at the Youth Center via River Road.
