10 Active Cases of Covid-19 in Kahnawake

The 4th wave of the Covid-19 pandemic has yielded 106 total cases thus far in Kahnawake, with 95 of those infected being unvaccinated residents, 2 people with a single dosage and 9 fully vaccinated individuals. According to KMHC Executive Director Lisa Westaway, there are 10 Kahnawa’kehró:non with active positive cases. There are 5 classrooms in the community currently in isolation, counting 6 families and their contacts, this as 75 community members in total are in isolation at this time.
