Kahnawake Now in Red Alert Status

Kahnawake’s alert status has now been declared Red because of a significant rise in active Covid-19 cases in the community, the Public Safety Commission and the Kateri Memorial Hospital Centre’s Public Health team said in a communique released late this afternoon.
At the time of this afternoon’s release, the number of active COVID-19 cases stands at 31.
Public Safety and Public Heath confirm that the outbreak is related to the DELTA strain which is greatly impacting the level of risk in the community.
