A demonstration was organized earlier today at the Pow Wow grounds in Kahnawake. Those who gathered voiced their displeasure with passport measures which are now in place in Kahnawake. Eastern Door reporter Callie Giaccone says approximately 80 people were present. Giaccone says the gathering was peaceful but passionate.
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake says it supports the decision to require proof of vaccination for non – essential services. It says the rising number of positive cases combined with new data on the potential impact of the 4th wave made it apparent that immediate action was needed – despite division in the community.
