KSCS and 2 Vaccinations

Effective September 13^th, only Kahnawake Shakotiia’takehnhas Community Services (KSCS) staff members who have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will be entitled to attend their functions in the workplace. The decision takes into consideration the ongoing pandemic, the vulnerability of KSCS clientele, the ongoing close proximity and interactions amongst staff and clients and to help reduce the risks to both KSCS employees and clients. Staff members who have a medical condition preventing them from getting vaccinated against COVID-19 will be exempt from the directive, as will those who’s prescribed second dose of the vaccine is scheduled after September 13th. Staff members who choose not to be vaccinated and whose work cannot accommodate working from home will be placed on a temporary cessation of employment for a period of up to 6 months, which may change in accordance with legislation or labour laws.
