Recycling truck back in service – but not for long
Written by Paul Graif on 27 August 2021
The town’s recycling truck is back in service after repairs to a hydraulic arm sidelined it earlier this week, but it is scheduled for additional maintenance work.
The Waste Management Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke says rust repairs on the Minimax recycling truck will put the truck out of commission again from Tuesday, September 7 to Friday, September 17.
Residents are advised to have their recycling bin completely emptied over the next week. Recyclable materials can be stored in the blue bin until the truck returns or you can place recycling out for collection, in a see through bag, and place it by the curb by 7am on recycling day and the town will pick up the overflow using a truck and trailer.
