Grand Chief to meet with Indigenous Affairs Minister

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) confirms that a meeting will take place at 5pm today with Canada’s Minister of Indigenous Affairs Carolyn Bennett.
The meeting was requested by Minister Bennett’s office as an introduction between the Minister and Ohén:ton í:iente ne Ratitsénhaienhs (Grand Chief) Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer. The Seigneury of Sault St. Louis is on the agenda.
Nitsénhaienhs Mike Delisle, Jr and Ross Montour, along with Chief Political Advisor Winona Polson-Lahache and Technician Rose-Ann Morris will also participate in the meeting, which will be held virtually.
The meeting is scheduled for one hour.
