QR Code Proof of Vaccination

There are no longer any active cases of COVID-19 in Kahnàwake, this news comes as Quebec Public Health has started sending out an electronic proof of vaccination for the last week, this via email and text . These correspondences include those who have been vaccinated in Kahnàwake. Dawn Montour-Lazare is the Outpatient Manager at the Kateri Memorial Hospital Centre (KMHC):
“You can get access to your proof of vaccination and you can download it on your phone. So, you have an electronic copy of your proof of vaccination and it can be 1 dose, it could be 2 doses because they just started this like I said, about a week ago and so some people who have only gotten 1 dose will get 1 notification saying that they have proof of vaccination and only have 1 dose. For those of us who have had our 2nd doses, we’re getting them and it has both of our doses written in there, so it’s something that you have handy on your phone that you can bring with you, so if anybody is asking for a proof of vaccination you’ve got it right there.”
The email from Public Health Quebec is written mostly in French:
“I think that’s going to be a huge barrier for a lot of people, but if you see something that says: “Preuve” or you see the word “Vaccination” in the title of the e-mail message, it’s probably what we’re talking about and if you scroll down quite a bit you’ll see a part where, it’ll be blue, it’s leading to a link, it’s a link to get your proof of vaccination in English, it actually says that “To get your proof of vaccination in English,” you press there, it brings you to the spot and it actually shows it there and it automatically, you don’t even have to do anything, for me, it automatically downloaded into my file folder on my phone. So, if I need it for anyplace or for anything I can just pull that up and I can show people proof of my vaccination.”
The email will likely state that it is from “Notification” with the title in French reading: “Preuve de Vaccination.”
