Suspicious Males Lurking in Territory

The Kahnàwake Peacekeepers are investigating reports of two suspicious males who have allegedly been lurking at several locations on the territory.
Peacekeeper Public Relations Officer Kyle Zachary says, “They saw somebody looking in a window and witnesses describe them as a slender, tall individual and a shorter individual, but there’s no other details. Once they were engaged by someone, they fled the area.”
Community members have also reported unlawful entry into their motor vehicles. Zachary says the Peacekeepers are asking the community to remain on the alert.
“Be a little more vigilant, lock your doors to your vehicles, don’t leave any valuables in your vehicles and if you see something that you consider suspicious or there’s someone in your yard, anything like that, call us right away because what happened with these situations where people saw somebody on their property but they only called us the next day. It’s great that we know this is going on, but it’s too late for us to react, to effect an ideal response.”
