Written by Jeremy Zafran on 23 March 2021
The COVID-19 Task Force in Kahnawà:ke is hoping that more people can come and get vaccinated. So much so that they are now accepting Kahnawa’kehró:non walk-ins at the Mass Vaccination Center Wednesday, March 24th, from 12pm until 5pm. Appointments will not be required for this time period. Only residents of Kahnawà:ke can present themselves at the Mohawk Bingo Hall on Route 138 beginning at noon. All safety protocols will be in place, including provided masks, distancing and hygiene.
For those who have already booked an appointment for that afternoon, they will be respected.
The vaccinations are at approximately 50% in a critical age category that have received a first dose to date. The Task Force is urging people to book their appointments as soon as possible by using the Clic Santé form at: www.kahnawake911.com/vaccine or by telephone at 450-638-3930 ext. 2295 or 2206. You will need your Medicare card when booking an appointment.
