For the first time in several months there are no active cases of COVID-19 in Kahnawake. “This is really positive. It’s great news.” said
Lisa Westaway the Executive Director of the Kateri Memorial Hospital Centre. It means that from the holiday time everybody has been working really hard in containing the virus and following the measures in ensuring that we protect those around us.”
It extends to the Step By Step Child and Family Center as well. “As of the end of the day today (Tuesday) there will no longer be any children or educators in isolation. So that’s really good news,” Westaway said. “There were no new additional cases to identify from the original outbreak. Everyone one has done a really really good job, great job in fact of containing the virus from this outbreak.”
