The state of emergency in Kahnawake is being extended for another 30 days. The new mandate begins on December 21st and extends for a ninth straight month. It also includes the mandate of the Task Force to be extended. According to the Emergency Measures Law the state of emergency must be extended 30 days at a time and not longer. It passed by consensus at Monday’s Mohawk Council of Kahnawake meeting.
