Seaway Inspections Taking Place Friday

The St. Lawrence Seaway Authority will conducting inspections on Friday. The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake says crews will be in the area underneath the Mercier Bridge and the CP Rail Bridge to inspect the retaining walls. A boat will be used for the inspection with crews placed on the banks of the Seaway.

Meanwhile, the Old Malone Highway will be closed at the CP Rail tunnel for work underneath the Mercier Bridge. The daytime closures will take place from 7am until 4pm on: Friday, December 11^th; Monday, December 14^th; Tuesday, December 15^th; and Wednesday, December 16^th, if required. A detour will be in place during the work hours and will be reopened each evening.
