Flowers, snacks to be accepted at Father’s Day drop off for KMHC residents

Written by on 19 June 2020

Families with loved ones at the Kateri Memorial Hospital Centre (KMHC) can drop off Father’s Day gifts and other items this Sunday from 9 am until noon.

In a daily briefing on Friday, task force member Joe Delaronde announced that the hospital will now be accepting drop-offs every second Sunday of the month until the end of COVID-19 measures.

“Items such as soaps, shampoo, souvenir items, pre-packaged snacks—they should be store-bought because they will be wiped down—also bottles of water, cans of soda, flowers and cards,” said Delaronde.

The hospital allowed similar drop-offs last month for Mother’s Day. The hospital is asking for cards not to be sealed in envelopes.

Drop offs will be accepted at the COVID-19 test site which is located on the east side of the main hospital building.
