After two decades away Hiio Kirby returns as host of a brand new morning show. Kirby will be joined by trusty newsman Paul Graif in the mornings beginning on Monday, November 28 at 6 am.
Kirby promises to bring his fun and irreverent style back to the station he loves.
“I love radio. I really missed it,” Kirby said. “I jumped at this opportunity and am really excited to come back.”
Program Director Chris Reiser is “Thrilled to have Hiio back in the fold. I am looking forward to what he will bring to the station,” Reiser said.
As for Kirby, with 20 years away from the microphone he doesn’t expect it will take too long to shake the rust free.
“I’m just going to go in there and just bring it along to the new year and we’ll take it from there. But yeah, I’m just hoping to have a couple of laughs. I might be able to upset some people along the way. But I might end up in the Principal’s office for that one.”
To hear the new as yet to be named K1037 morning show with Hiio Kirby, listen in at 6 am on Monday, November 28th.

Radar Signs, For Safety
Fifteen (15) Radar Speed Signs are being installed at various locations in the community for your safety and that of others. The Public Safety Division of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke and the Kahnawake Mohawk Peacekeepers announcing that the Public Works Department started installing the signs in and around school zones today. The project is being implemented to educate motorists in the community to be mindful of their speed and increase safety, especially in school zones and pedestrian crossings. While these units will display vehicle speed in real-time, their function is to advise motorists whether they are following the posted speed limit at that location. The Radar Speed Signs will only display your speed and will not be used for speed enforcement. Although the Radar Speed Signs won’t completely resolve the issues with vehicles speeding, they will help raise awareness of the problem of excessive speed in and around the community.
