Tragedy following an accident at the JFK Quarry Wednesday morning. A call came in at 8:47 am to the Kahnawake Peacekeepers, routed from 9-1-1, as an articulated dump truck had driven off an inclined path and fallen into the quarry. The Post Office in Kahnawake is closed for the day due to a power outage. This is due to scheduled work on the generator by Hydro Quebec. Employees from Tewatohni’saktha Economic Development, who share the building with the Post Office, are working from home as their offices are also closed due to the maintenence work.
