Recent break-ins

There was an attempted break-in at a residence in the New Development in Kahnawake. The Peacekeepers say witnesses saw several kids running away from the home after the attempt. They managed to damage the door frame. Kyle Zachary PR Officer with the Peacekeepers says, that while there have been a few robberies in the last week in the community, he stopped short of calling it a rash of break-ins.

There were break-ins earlier this week at 2 other homes and at the John Owens Oasis Restaurant. Despite that, the PKs, citing statistics, say the number of break-ins each year have remained consistent throughout the last 5 years.
