Written by Jeremy Zafran on 22 October 2021
A COVID-19 outbreak has been identified within a department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke organization. Contact tracing and isolation measures to mitigate the transmission were undertaken immediately with two (2) employees testing positive for COVID-19. Affected individuals are aware and have been advised to follow measures to ensure their own safety and that of their co-workers. The situation is being closely monitored by Kahnawà:ke Public Health and the MCK with any additional measures to be applied, if and when appropriate.
It is considered an outbreak when two or more persons are connected by an epidemiological link.
