Task Force Monitoring Quebec Directives

There are currently 5 covid-19 cases in Kahnawà:ke. Lloyd Phillips the Commissioner of Public Safety and head of the COVID-19 Task Force joined us on the Morning D today on K1037. He says the task Force has been closely following the directives in Quebec, especially the re-openings on non-essential businesses:

“January 29th with the visitations allowed and the re-opening of retail, we want to give that a couple of weeks, let’s assess where we are before we consider any modifications to any of additional measures. Basically, the status quo will remain as is today for the next week or two and then we’ll again reassess where things are going. So, no major announcements, yesterday was mostly updates on various entities in the community and again, like I said, a lot of discussion along mental health and making that more front and center as we move forward.”
